Have you created a new Gmail email address that you would like to use as a secondary account but would like to ensure that all emails received on it are also forwarded to your primary mailbox? Well, if the answer is “yes” know that there is no problem. In fact, that’s enough to deal with it forward Gmail emails. How do you say? In fact, with today’s guide I will show you everything that can be done to be able to forward Gmail emails. Before you can get alarmed and think about who knows what, I want to clarify right away that, contrary to appearances, Gmail is not complicated at all and that everyone, even the less experienced in new technologies, can succeed “in the enterprise” without any of problem.

Depending on what your needs and preferences are, you can choose to forward Gmail emails by acting on messages of e-mail, both single and entire conversations, or by acting on senders, i.e. going to create automatic forwarding filters based on the email address of origin. However, the choice of which of the two solutions to adopt is entirely up to you. Anyway don’t worry, I’ll explain how to do it in both cases.
Forward Gmail mails by acting on messages
If you are interested in understanding how to forward Gmail emails by acting on individual email messages, the first step you need to take is to connect to your mailbox. To do this, launch the web browser you usually use to surf the net, type www.gmail.com in the address bar and press the button Enter on the keyboard. Alternatively, click here.
At this point, if you had previously logged in to your account, you can go directly to reading the following lines, otherwise proceed as follows. Fill in the field insert your email going to type your Gmail email address and press the blue button After you. Then fill in the field Password typing the password for your Gmail account and click on the button Log in. Please note that if two-step verification is activated on your account, you will also need to provide the appropriate access code that was provided to you on your mobile phone.
Once the main page of your e-mail box has been displayed, to forward Gmail mails, open the message on which you intend to act by clicking on its subject, then click on the ⋮ button located at the top right and select the item Forward from the menu that is shown to you. Alternatively, you can forward Gmail emails by pressing the link forward the message attached to the text box below the body of the mail message.
Once this is done, the classic Gmail message composition box will open with the message to be forwarded preceded by the header Forwarded message and from the summary of sender, recipient, date of receipt and subject. To forward Gmail emails, all you have to do is write the email address to send it to in the field next to the item TO as you normally do when you need to register a new email and press the blue button Submit located at the bottom left.
Keep in mind that, if necessary, before forwarding Gmail emails as I have just indicated, you can also fill in the fields located next to the items Cc And bcc to add a carbon copy recipient and a blind carbon copy recipient, respectively. Also before Gmail mail you can change the body of the message as you see fit by simply clicking on it and changing the text and adding or removing elements based on what your needs are.
If instead of going to act on a single e-mail message you are interested in understanding how to forward Gmail mails by intervening on an entire conversation (a group of “question and response” mails from several users, so to speak), proceed as follows way. First, open the conversation you want to act on by clicking on its subject, then click on the button Other located at the top right (if you don’t see the button in question, close the sidebar on the right with Gmail add-ons) and select the item Forward all from the menu that is shown to you. Alternatively, you can forward Gmail mail by pressing the link forward the message attached to the text box below the body of the mail message.
Once this is done, the classic Gmail message composition box will open with the message to be forwarded preceded by the header Conversation forward and from the summary of sender, recipient, date of receipt and subject. To forward Gmail emails by intervening on the entire conversation you will then have to write the email address to which to send it in the field next to the item TO and press the blue button Submit located at the bottom left.
Even in this case, if necessary, before forwarding Gmail emails by intervening on the entire conversation, you can fill in the fields located next to the items Cc And bcc. Also before Gmail mail you can change the body of the message as you see fit by simply clicking on it and changing the text and adding or removing elements based on what your needs are.
Forward Gmail emails by acting on the senders
If, on the other hand, you are interested in understanding how to forward Gmail emails by intervening on the senders, the procedure to follow is slightly more complex but still not complex. To begin with, connected to your Google-branded mailbox as I indicated previously, when I explained to you what to do to forward Gmail emails by acting on the messages and, if necessary, log in to your account by typing your email address, associated password and any security code.
Once the main page of your mailbox has been displayed, to forward Gmail emails by acting on the senders, the first step you need to take is to go to the settings by clicking on the gear icon at the top right and selecting the item Gmail settings from the menu that appears.
On the page that opens, go to the tab Forwarding and POP/IMAP placed at the top and click on the button Add a forwarding address. Then type the e-mail address to which you want to automatically forward the messages filtered by Gmail and first click on After you and then up Okay to confirm.
Once this is done, you must validate the forwarding of messages from Gmail to the email address entered by connecting to it and clicking on the confirmation link included in the message received from Gmail.
Once this operation has also been performed, proceed by creating the filter to forward Gmail emails automatically based on the sender. Then connect to the main Gmail page, click on the arrow on the right side of the search bar which is located next to the Gmail logo and, in the box that appears, type the e-mail address of the sender whose messages you wish to forward automatically in the field next to the entry From.
Then click on the item Create filter with this search which is located at the bottom right, put the check mark next to the item Forward to and select the address to which you want to forward Gmail emails from the adjacent drop-down menu. Then click on the button Create filter to turn on automatic forwarding.
At this point you can finally say you are satisfied, you have managed to complete the procedure by which to forward Gmail mail based on the senders by creating filters for automatic mail forwarding, congratulations! From now on, all messages received by the sender indicated in the filter will also be automatically sent to the email address chosen for forwarding.
Keep in mind that in addition to the sender, the procedure for forwarding Gmail emails that I have just indicated can also be implemented based on the subject of the messages and other criteria that can be freely set in the filters.
