For work or study purposes, you have recently started using Google Meet, the Google tool dedicated to video conferencing. Since you are a beginner with the use of the platform in question, you need to know more about the possibility of using it to make audio/video presentations, since, after trying it yourself, you were unable to share the sound part related to the presentation you made.
How do you say? Things are just like that and so you would like to know how to mute presentation in Meet? In that case don’t worry, I’m here to help you. In fact, in the next chapters of this guide of mine, I will provide you with all the useful information relating to the topic in question and I will explain, step by step, how to activate the audio during the transmission of a presentation through the appropriate Google Meet tool.
If, therefore, now you are impatient to know more about it, I invite you to sit down comfortably and take just a few minutes of free time, in order to carefully read the procedures that I am about to provide you. You will see that, by following them step by step, you will agree with me that succeeding will have been easier than I had imagined. At this point, all I have to do is wish you a good read and, above all, a good job.
Before explaining yourself how to mute presentation in MeetI have to give you some useful preliminary information on this.
In fact, you must know that, in order to succeed in this attempt, it is strictly necessary to proceed from pcthrough the official website of Google’s video conferencing service, given that, at the time of writing this guide, a desktop client for Windows or macOS dedicated to Google Meet is not available.
Also, I am sorry to inform you that it is not possible to succeed in this endeavor from smartphones or Tablet because while you can share your mobile device’s screen, there is currently no support for a feature that allows conference participants to hear the audio of what is playing on the mobile device of the initiator of a presentation.
Having made the necessary premises above, if everything is clear to you, I would say to take action.
How to mute the presentation on Meet from a computer
To turn on the presentation audio on meet the first thing you need to do is connect to the official website of the service, in order to log in with your account Google.
Once this is done, start one new meeting or start participating in an existing one by pressing the button Participate. Then, in both cases, once the main meeting screen is displayed, press the button Submit now.
At this point, in the menu that appears, click on the wording A tabas this is the only option that allows you to share audio, as well as video, during the presentation.
At this point, make sure the option is selected Share audioby ticking the appropriate box. After that, select the tab in the browser in which the content to be shared in the presentation is present and confirm the operation by pressing the button Share.
In case you forgot to unmute the presentation while setting up the presentation, don’t worry: you can unmute the presentation at any time. To do this, go back to the Google Meet tab and make sure it is set to ON the lever located in correspondence with the wording Presentation audio.
Finally, when you’re done with your presentation, hit the button Stop, to interrupt it and return to the main meeting screen on Google Meet. Easy, right?
If you have problems with system audio or your PC’s microphone, make sure you’ve configured everything correctly by following my instructions on how to unmute your PC and how to unmute the microphone.
